Moeller Suspended Because of DUI
Andy Moeller, a coach for professional football team the Baltimore Ravens in Maryland, was suspended by the National Football League (NFL) for two games earlier this month because of a recent conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI). Moeller, who is currently in his second season as the Ravens' offensive line coach, was initially pulled over in late September of 2010 for speeding in Baltimore County around one o'clock in the morning on a Saturday. Local law enforcement agents at the scene arrested Moeller on suspicion of DUI. He was convicted in the spring of 2011 and sentenced to 60 days in a county jail, though that sentence was suspended after Moeller served two days in a locked-down alcohol treatment facility and the coach was placed on probation. The NFL not only punished Moeller by suspending him for two games, but fined him $47,000 as well. According to reports, this is Moeller's third alcohol-related arrest in four years, including an arrest in May of 2010.
