Hardy Arrested for DWI

Professional wrestler Matt Hardy was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) after a minor crash in North Carolina in late August.  According to reports from local law enforcement agents, Hardy, who rose to fame while working with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), was found by a North Carolina State Trooper after his Corvette ran off the road and into a nearby tree.  The trooper observed signs of alcohol impairment in Hardy and promptly arrested him.  Hardy was taken to a local jail where he submitted to chemical testing to determine his blood alcohol content.  Results of that test have not been released.  At the time of his crash, Hardy was alone and sustained only minor injuries.  Hardy, who had been under contract with Total NonStop Action (TNA) Wrestling, was subsequently released from TNA's roster after having already been under suspension.
