Jungers Arrested for DUI
Jamie Jungers, the former mistress of golfer Tiger Woods, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI), earlier this month after a collision in Las Vegas, Nevada. While details of the accident have not been released, Jungers, who also won the Mistress Beauty Pageant held by Howard Stern in 2010, was picked up by local law enforcement agents just off the Las Vegas main strip in the early morning hours of August 5th. Officers at the scene also noted that Jungers was driving on a suspended license at the time, as well as driving without proper proof of insurance. While Jungers was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, no word has been given as to what her blood alcohol content was at the time of her arrest, and no word has been released on when Jungers will be appearing in court.
While Jungers' arrest occurred in Las Vegas, it is important to note that here in Los Angeles, law enforcement agencies are no less stringent about enforcing DUI laws. Being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol is no picnic, as any Los Angeles DUI defense attorney can tell you. Being charged with DUI is intimidating for many people because it might be their first experience with being arrested and going to court. An experienced
Los Angeles DUI defense attorney can tell you that DUI cases are doubly intense because there are criminal court hearings as well as a hearing before the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Winning your DMV hearing determines whether or not you can keep your driving privileges until after the criminal portion of your case is decided. With two trials to deal with, having an experienced
Los Angeles DUI defense attorney by your side is essential to not only keeping your driver's license, but possibly even your freedom. While many first-time DUI offenders are sentenced to probation, fines and alcohol education classes, any
Los Angeles DUI defense attorney can tell you that every case is different. If another person is injured or dies because you were drinking and driving, you could find yourself in jail or prison.
If you are arrested for DUI while speeding, driving with a child under the age of 14, or if you have prior DUI convictions, jail or prison time is also likely upon conviction.
