Reggie Rogers Arrested for DUI
Former professional football player Reggie Rogers was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) as well as driving with a suspended license last Friday. The 46-year-old former lineman was picked up by local law enforcement agents and taken to the Pierce County Jail in the state of Washington after an incident from the prior Wednesday. No details have been released as to what actually occurred during the incident. Unfortunately for Rogers, however, this is his sixth DUI arrest. Rogers, who played for the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers during his time in the National Football League, was first arrested for DUI while at the University of Washington. His second DUI arrest occurred after an accident in which three teenagers were killed. Rogers' last DUI arrest involved Rogers reportedly crashing into another vehicle on a highway and leaving the scene just one day before Thanksgiving in 2008. As a result of that incident, Rogers spent two years in prison for his crime. Rogers clearly has a problem with drinking and driving. Reggie Rogers is also the younger brother of former professional football player Don Rogers who died of a cocaine-related heart attack in 1986 at the age of just 23.
