Former Yankee in Need of Los Angeles DUI Defense Attorney

Hideki Irabu, a member of the late 90's New York Yankee dynasty, was arrested in Gardena for allegedly driving drunk.  Currently a resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, he was stopped on Redondo Beach Blvd. around 1:30 in the morning, arrested and released after posting $5,000 bail.  He was booked on a possible misdemeanor, but official charges will not be released for more than a month.  There was no comment from his Los Angeles DUI Defense Attorney.

Irabu was a Japanese superstar before joining the Yankees in 1997.  He played in the major leagues until 2002.  After eight exceptional years in Japan he was a highly touted addition to American baseball.  After years with the Yankees, Montreal Expos and Texas Rangers, Irabu was out of the major leagues.  He joined a semi-pro team, the Long Beach Armada, and then returned to Japan to pitch briefly until a knee injury sidelined him.  This is the first incident of a Los Angeles DUI.
