Failing a Los Angeles Field Sobriety Test

Getting busted for a DUI on a Los Angeles Freeway usually involves traveling at incredibly high rates of speed.  However, in one particular case, a border line celebrity was pulled over for traveling at an incredibly slow rate of speed.

Heidi Angrol is in need of a Los Angeles DUI Defense Attorney after being pulled over on the 105 Freeway for driving 35 miles per hour.  The speed limit is 65 MPH, Ms. Angrol was driving 35 MPH.  Ms. Angrol was on "The Apprentice" a reality show hosted by Donald Trump, and more recently was a host for Los Angeles Kings telecasts.  She was returning home from an event honoring King Luc Robitaille at Club Nokia and was pulled over for driving too slowly.

If you have been pulled over during a traffic stop, any Los Angeles Police Officer or California Highway Patrol Officer will administer a Los Angeles Field Sobriety Test if they suspect you have been drinking.  These tests can be administered a number of ways, and while they are proven to be flawed, law enforcement relies on them when trying to arrest people for drunk driving.

Los Angeles Field Sobriety Test, also known as an FST, is designed to determine how much (if any) alcohol was consumed by the driver and if their judgment is impaired.  In such a situation, a person charged with a DUI needs a Los Angeles DUI Defense Attorney who understands how to dissect any police investigation.  If a police officer believes you have failed a  Los Angeles Field Sobriety Test, you will be immediately arrested for drunk driving.  You will then be taken back to the police station for chemical tests, such as a blood test or breath test, to determine the actual level of your blood alcohol content.

At Kestenbaum, Eisner & Gorin, LLP, our Los Angeles DUI Defense Attorneys have over 50 years of experience with DUI cases.  As former Los Angeles prosecutors, our team has experience on both sides of Los Angeles Field Sobriety Test cases.  If you or someone you love has been charged with a DUI based upon a  Los Angeles Field Sobriety Test, call our DUI lawyers at 877-781-1570.
