Moreno Arrested for DUI

Professional football player Knowshon Moreno was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) earlier this month while driving near Denver, Colorado. Moreno, who plays the position of running back for the Denver Broncos, was initially pulled over by local law enforcement agents because he was speeding down a Colorado highway in what turned out to be a construction zone on February 1st. According to reports, Moreno's convertible Bentley was driving at 70 miles per hour in an area where the posted speed limit was just 45 miles per hour. Pomrenke Arrested For DUI

Reality television star Shawn Pomrenke was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in Alaska last month after reportedly hitting a pedestrian with his car. Pomrenke, who stars in the Discovery Chanel's "Bering Sea Gold," was backing out of a parking lot on December 9th when he hit a pedestrian carrying groceries. Pomrenke then drove away from the scene after giving the pedestrian a grin and a thumbs up sign. Local law enforcement agents caught up with Pomrenke a short distance from the accident and say Pomrenke admitted to having consumed alcohol prior to the accident. Pomrenke also allegedly admitted to police that he did not have car insurance. Officers at the scene gave him several field sobriety tests, which he performed poorly on. When his blood alcohol content was tested by a breath analysis machine, Pomrenke reportedly blew 0.125%, well above the legal limit of 0.08%. Local Stand-Up Comedian Killed By Suspected Drunk Driver

Local stand-up comedian Angelo Bowers was killed in a car crash that local law enforcement agents say was caused by a driver who was under the influence of alcohol. Bowers and a friend, fellow comedian Josh Adam Meyers, were hit by an unnamed 21-year-old driver around 1:45 in the morning on Tuesday, January 3rd. According to police reports, the driver had also caused another traffic accident with a taxi near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Argyle Avenue just minutes before and, in fleeing the scene of that accident, ran into the car with Bowers and Meyers. Bowers was reportedly the passenger in Meyers' vehicle. All three people involved in the accident were severely injured and taken to nearby hospitals for medical attention. Bowers died several hours later from his injuries. Meyers and the driver of the car that collided with his vehicle are still reportedly recovering from their injuries. The driver is expected to be arrested and charged with murder once he no longer requires medical treatment.

Rapper Flo Rida Sentenced For DUI

Rapper Flo Rida was sentenced in mid-December after being convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI). Flo Rida, whose real name is Dramar Dillard, was arrested back in June of 2011 when local law enforcement in the South Beach section of Miami spotted the rapper driving erratically in his 2008 Bugatti. Officers at the scene reported that Dillard had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech at the scene, and that they smelled alcohol on his breath. Dillard's blood alcohol content was reportedly 0.185%, more then double the legal limit of 0.08%. The rapper was also found to be driving on a suspended license. Barnaby Arrested For DWI

Former Miss USA winner Rima Fakih was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol last weekend. Fakih, who is the first Arab American to ever win the title of Miss USA, was reportedly driving through the Highland Park region of Detroit, Michigan when local law enforcement agents spotted her weaving in and out of heavy traffic, failing to signal for lane changes and speeding up to 60 miles per hour, which was well above the posted speed limit. The 26-year-old Michigan native was pulled over by local law enforcement agents just after two o'clock in the morning on Saturday, December 3rd. Pinkel Arrested for DWI

Garden Grove DUI Suspect Wrecks Orange County Memorial

An unidentified Garden Grove man is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) last night when he crashed into an Orange County memorial around 7 o'clock in the evening. The driver reportedly damaged a gate, knocked down a light pole, jumped a curb and drove through a small block wall before allegedly plowing into the Orange County Fire Authority's Eternal Flame memorial in Irvine. The accident is said to have extinguished the eternal flame. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital and reportedly treated for a broken foot. He was expected to be arrested on suspicion of DUI after being released from the hospital.

Musso Arrested for DUI

Disney star Mitchel Musso was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) several weeks ago after he failed to slow down for local law enforcement agents who were directing traffic around an unrelated accident in Burbank. Musso, who is best known for playing Oliver Oken in the Disney Channel's popular television show "Hannah Montana," was pulled over in his black 2007 Mercedes Benz around 3:45 in the morning on October 17th. Upon approaching Musso's vehicle, officers at the scene noticed the strong odor of alcohol coming from his vehicle and asked the actor to step outside and perform a few field sobriety tests. Allen Charged with DUI

A Lancaster woman was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) following a horrific crash that left six children injured in late September. Stanesha Nicole Allen was driving through city streets shortly after 5 o'clock in the morning on September 26th when she reportedly lost control of her Toyota Sequoia. According to reports, the vehicle flipped four times and at least two children were partially ejected from the vehicle. Two children were airlifted from the scene of the accident to a nearby hospital with what are described as major injuries. Allen and four other children were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for injuries ranging from minor to moderate. According to reports, Allen's blood alcohol content was reportedly 0.08% just after the accident. Rapper Sentenced to Prison

Rapper Petey Pablo was sentenced earlier this week to 35 months in prison after being convicted of trying to take a loaded gun through a North Carolina airport last year.
